The Wind Raider as seen in the Mike Young Productions animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2002).
History[]
The Wind Raider was an olive green hulled flying transport with dark yellow wings, tailfin, and skull. It was created by Man-At-Arms to provide the Masters of the Universe with superior air support in their fight against evil. It's powerufl engines were capable of vertical takeoff, with a cockpit large enough to comfortably seat the pilot and three passengers. The vehicle would hover in place to unfold its wings, revealing large batteries of laser cannons that could bombard enemies with a shower of powerful and precise air strikes. Despite this impressive firepower, the Wind Raider was vulnerable to attacks from below, falling victim to assaults such as Two-Badd's bazooka and Kobra Khan's corrosive venom.
Behind the Scenes[]
- The Wind Raider of the original series was so popular that it appears again in the 2002 MOTU series, where most of the vehicles were new designs.
