The Window of Spirits, also known as the Window of Time was a powerful magic artifact located in Castle Grayskull in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
History[]
He-Man attempted to communicate with the Sorceress by using the Window of Spirits after she and several others were sent into another dimension by the Diamond Ray of Disappearance.[1]
After an accident involving Orko's wand sent Adam's Sword of Power into Eternia's past, the Sorceress used the Window as a Time Corridor to allow Orko and Cringer to travel into the past.[2]
On another occasion, the Sorceress used the Window to show Prince Adam, Man-At-Arms, Orko and Cringer Eternia's distant past, to which Skeletor had travelled to build a fortress on the very spot Grayskull would stand in the future. She implored the Heroic Warriors to go back in time, and after Adam and Cringer transformed into He-Man and Battle Cat, all four of them walked into the Window of Time to start their time travelling journey.[3]
The Sorceress once used the Window of Spirts to show He-Man, Man-At-Arms and Orko the location of the hidden Sword of the Ancients and told them it's history.[4]
After Skeletor banished He-Man to the Crossroads of All Universes, the Sorceress sent Orko, Cringer and Ram Man through the Time Corridor to find him, and they used it again to return to Eternia.[5]
After Man-At-Arms was turned to crystal by the Weird of Crystal, the Sorceress attempted to find a cure by linking to the Window of Knowledge. Unable to find one, she then told He-Man and Teela to seek out Granamyr the dragon.[6]
The Sorceress explained the history of the Starseed and revealed it's location to He-Man by using the Window of Spirits.[7]
The Sorceress used the Window of Spirits to keep tabs on Teela and Orko as they travelled to Grayskull atop the Mother Roe to ask the Sorceress for help against Danavas.[8]
Trivia[]
- The Window of Spirits was to have been mentioned by He-Man in the premiere episode, Diamond Ray of Disappearance before he uses it to communicate with the Sorceress, but the line was almost completely deleted from the soundtrack. However, the words "Maybe we can reach her in the Window of Spirits" can still be heard very faintly.
