The Zoo of Champions is a location on the planet Rintor in The New Adventures of He-Man.
The Zoo of Champions was a secret, underground location build beneath the Great Hall on the planet Rintor. In it, Royka and Molden kept all previous winners of the Games captive. Many different alien species were held in triangular shaped prison cels, kept inside by invisible barriers. The zoo was overseen by an elderly Zookeeper of the same race as Royka and Molden.
Skeletor and the Evil Mutants discovered the underground zoo by accident, while using a Life Form Reader as they prepaired to blow up the Great Hall in which Royka, Molden and the Galactic Guardians were having their victory celebration. Skeletor surmised that the prisoners were possibly all that was left over from alien armies that had attacked the planet in the past. The Zookeeper appeared, and told the Mutants not to disturbe the prisoners. Skeletor zapped the keeper with his skull staff and demanded him to hand over the electronic key to the zoo's cages. Hoove was then ordered to tie up the old man.
Skeletor used the key to open all of the cages at once, having made sure that he and the Mutants were already back on the planet surface. At the same time, the Mutant Mothership launched a stolen Astrosub filled with explosive Transium Ore at the Great Hall. When the angry aliens from the zoo broke into the Hall, Royka identified them as 'prisoners from past attacks on the planet'. The Guardians managed to defeat all of the monsters and stop the Astrosub from crashing into the Great Hall.
After finishing their Victory Dinner, the Guardians made ready to leave and go back to Primus. However, as they stepped outside, they found themself trapped in a triangular elevator that deposited them into the underground zoo. Royka and Molden then informed them that as part of their reward for winning the Games, they were to remain in the Zoo of Champions forever.
All the previous winners that had been imprisoned there, had now fled and taken their spacecraft from the Museum of Space. Royka and Molden were now forced to start their collection all over again, and the Guardians would be their first new specimens. The Guardians were kept in a bare cell, with food being delivered through a slot that opened up in the wall. They were allowed to keep their weapons and laserguns, which had been deactivated by the Rintorians.
He-Man came up with a plan to use the Transium Ore from each of the Guardian's laserguns and place the collected ore into the food slot in the wall. With a little help from his magic sword, He-Man managed to blast a hole in the wall and the Guardians were able to escape from the Zoo.
